WHY WEDDING TRIALS ARE IMPORTANT | SAN ANTONIO TEXAS

Why are wedding makeup trials important? 1) It will give you peace of mind on your wedding day, so that on the day of your wedding there is no stress or confusion as to how you will look. 2) It’s a great time to meet and get to know your makeup artist. 3) You will know exactly what to expect on the day of your wedding. 4) You will have confidence in knowing how you will look on the day of your wedding . 5) To see how long your makeup will last. 6) To see if you are sensitive to any of the makeup products your makeup artist will be using. 7) You will see how your makeup photographs in pictures. 8) It will allow the makeup process to go faster and more smoothly on the day of your wedding. 9) You will have enough time to try different variations of your idea of the perfect wedding makeup look that you desire. 10) We can order touch up kits of the makeup products that’ll be used on the day of your wedding. What to expect at your makeup trial: At the time of your makeup trial I will ask you a series of questions to determine what makeup products would best fit your skin type and makeup preference. Is your skin normal to oily? What is your typical makeup routine everyday? Do you wear a lot of makeup or only a little? What are your must have makeup products. Things like that. Now is also the time to show me examples of any makeup looks that you love, and I will also show you different examples of beautiful makeup looks that I think are perfect for weddings. If you don’t have an idea of what you would like check out our Wedding Makeup Looks board on Pinterest . By this time, you should have some idea of how you will be wearing your hair, what accessories you have, the style of your dress & your color scheme. These are the little details that I will take in to consideration when deciding on your makeup colors and over all look. I will then apply your makeup to see how you will look on the day itself, and to check if you are sensitive to any products that I’ll be using. I encourage you to try different variations of the makeup look that you want. Any changes will be made until you are 100% happy. Everything will be documented so that on the day there is no stress or confusion to the final look, so you can just sit back & relax. Your makeup trial will also include a before & after photo to show you just how gorgeous you will look in photos!

Engagement Session | The Hui, Maui

Hey there beauties! Here are some recent photos I took of an engagement session that was at The Hui on Maui. This place is a stunning backdrop for a wedding! Jenny & Riley will be getting married here in April so they wanted to take their engagement photos here. The Hui is such a special place, a haven for artists. Here's a little history about The Hui from there website.
The mission of Hui No‘eau Visual Arts Center is to unlock creativity through exceptional visual arts education, translated as “people coming together for a common purpose- for the development of artistic skill and the wisdom which derives from that expression.” Founded in 1934, Hui No‘eau is a gathering place for some of the greatest artistic minds contributing to Maui arts and culture. The sense of place provided by the vast estate and awe-inspiring views of Haleakala, West Maui Mountains and Maui’s North Shore develop inspiration and invigorate artistic energy. Historic structures and expansive gardens serve as an educational centerpiece in our Maui community, offering a fully accessible, vital, open space for residents and visitors to come, learn and enjoy.
The art studios at Hui No‘eau are the only public studios on Maui that offer year-round access to fine art equipment and technical supervision for all who choose to participate.

Paradise Found | North Shore, maui

Haiku is one of my favorite places in Maui. It's a tropical jungle, and an oasis for many artists, celebrities, and professional surfers. Lush fruit and exotic flowers that smell equally delicious surround you. I could not have thought of a better location for my recent fashion shoot called Paradise Found. Thank you to my amazing team and the lovely Patti Pottorff owner of Biasa Rose for the gorgeous clothing and accessories for my shoot. Be on the look out for more photos of this shoot that will be featured in Vortex Magazine!

Rainbows & Sunshine Maternity Portraits | Ulupalakua, Maui

When Angelina first approached me to take her maternity photos I was thrilled and honored. I've worked with Angelina quite a few times on various photo shoots doing hair and makeup. She is an amazing photographer that I have always admired. Some of my favorite photos in my makeup portfolio are shot from her.
I had so much fun getting to spend time with Angelina and her husband Vetea while photographing them anticipating the arrival of their baby girl Alani. Alani means orange in the Hawaiian language. What was so incredible was that before Alani's arrival the name that they chose for their baby girl was kept a secret. And when Angelina asked me to pick up a bouquet of roses for the photo shoot I chose orange sherbert colored roses! A tiny representation of Alani Rose's arrival (=
Angelina loves dreamy light and rainbows are her favorite, so I wanted to incorporate that in her maternity shoot. The results were heavenly don't you think?
